Breaking news: NY Governor Spitzer Involved in Prostitution Ring!

Holy $hit! All I can say. Stay tuned for the press conference and, presumably, the resignation announcement this afternoon. Yikes.

Maybe it's just me, but "Linked to a Prostitution Ring" sounds like he was discovered profiting from or otherwise organizing it.

He hired a call girl. Of all the things a politician could do to raise eyebrows, even one with such a straightlaced reputation as Spitzer, the only thing I can think of less exciting than discovering he hired a call girl would be that he just had a regular affair. If he didn't have so many political enemies I wouldn't expect this to even make a blip on the radar.
